Syncopation

Syncopation is a delightful two skein pattern that I loved working on. The graduated contrast segments appealed to me, and I really enjoyed learning the horizontal herringbone stitch which really makes for a beautiful finish on this shawl. 

Yarn requirements: 

766 - 820 yards | 700 - 750 metres

Main colour: Approx 400m of 4ply/fingering

Contrast colour: Approx 300m of light fingering

Equipment:

Needles: 3.75mm and 5mm

Tension/gauge: 17.5st = 10cm

6 stitch markers

Shopping the Syncopation Sets

If the code is not showing in the options, then it means it's sold out and I haven't had a chance to remove the image yet. The pattern is the default image, so long as the correct SK## is in your cart, then that is what you are purchasing. Please understand that I don't have enough online sales in order to justify the upgrade cost of the website that would let me make this a bit simpler.

Please note that there is enough meterage in all the sets to meet the yarn requirements, however, there are few sets where a particular skein must be the contrast colour.

You will also notice there are several sets with mohair - due to the nature of the design, it is recommended that you use the mohair as the main colour. You will also notice that the original pattern design indicates contrast colours, but there are some non-contrasting yarn sets as this will promote the texture in the design and I thought they would look good. 

Shopping the Pattern

It is possible to purchase the pattern - this is an A4 hard copy in black and white printed on water resistant paper that will need to be posted. Please select 1 skein for postage as I will roll this carefully and send via tracked post.
